Unemployment Insurance Law Breakfast

IowaWORKS, the Corridor HR Advisory Network, and the Employers’ Council of Iowa (ECI), with support from ICAD Group, are hosting a breakfast for Creative Corridor business owners and HR managers onThursday, March 19th, starting at 8 a.m. at the Coralville Holiday Inn, 1220 First Avenue, Coralville.
The meeting is called “Unemployment Insurance Law: Effectively Handling Unemployment Insurance Claims,” and will feature presentations from Michael Wilkinson, Director, Unemployment Insurance Services at Iowa Workforce Development and David Eklund, Workforce Manager.
The seminar will answer questions about the importance of employer policies, quits and discharges, preventing fraud, part-time and temporary assignments, calculating claim costs, and more.
This program meets criteria for the HR Certification Institute and three credit hours will be awarded.
The event is $25 and includes breakfast. It is open to the public and registration is required. Deadline to register is March 13, 2015.
