Thank you to those who responded to our survey last month. After careful consideration and reviewing various delivery options, we are excited to announce the Iowa SHRM State Council and the 2020 State Conference planning committee are committed to host the HR 2020 & Beyond conference at the Marriott in Coralville Thursday-Friday, September 24-25. Save the date!

The Marriott and the conference committee will collaborate in order to provide the requirements for health and safety protocols and social distancing arrangements, as recommended by the CDC. We will also have high quality content for your professional development needs, access to products and services through our sponsors and vendors and opportunities to network in a safe way, of course! More information for registration and other details to follow.

The Iowa SHRM State Council has had a long tradition of hosting successful State Conferences. One of the reasons is YOU and your chapter’s willingness to volunteer!  This year is no different – we need your help! This volunteer opportunity not only provides valuable leadership skills, but is also a way to provide additional income to your chapter and recertification credit for the volunteer chair persons.

Please reach out to your chapter leaders and members to encourage their participation and representation of your chapter on our conference planning committee for 2020.  Julie Moss and Mary Greiner will be co-directors for “HR 2020 and Beyond”, held at the Coralville Marriott from September 24-25.
